Harvard Real Estate Services

Harvard Real Estate Services (HRES) works to develop, operate efficiently, strengthen and preserve the University’s non-academic, non-investment real estate. In addition, HRES also takes responsibility for project and property management, supplementing the operational responsibilities of Harvard’s individual Schools.

HRES provides housing for graduate students, faculty members and other affiliates; manages a broad portfolio of University and commercial properties and numerous construction projects; supports the review and approval process for Harvard’s capital plans and projects and monitors the University’s capital spending; coordinates the development of best practices in construction, leasing and other real estate activities; and provides real estate and construction consulting services to Schools and departments.
